Joe Konte

Joe Konte is a longtime newspaper reporter and editor. He began his career as a reporter at the Daly City Record covering cities, courts and crime. He worked at the Davis Enterprise as a reporter and as an editor. He has been a copy editor, sports editor and city editor at the Marin Independent Journal, where he is currently news editor. He is a San Francisco native and lives in Marin County.

Konte went to his first Giants-Dodgers game in 1958, and still has the program and scorecard from the game. While his roots are in the San Francisco Bay Area, Konte wrote the book to pay tribute to the great rivalry, telling the story right down the middle.
